Mole And Skin Tag Removal
A mole on your face or body can be unsightly and embarrassing especially if you unable to conceal it. Our cosmetic doctor can remove moles and skin tags that are raised with minimal scarring.
Our cosmetic physician will first provide a thorough and comprehensive consult to assess if you are suitable to undergo this treatment. Our cosmetic doctor is able to provide a skin cancer check to determine if the moles requested to be removed are suspicious of skin cancers prior to any removal.
Please advise our doctor if you are regularly taking anti-coagulation therapy, have any auto-immune or skin condition and have any past facial surgeries.
If you are on blood-thinning medication such as aspirin, you will need to avoid these medication one week before treatment day.
This minimally invasive procedure is performed by our cosmetic physician.
Local anaesthetic may be injected into the planned treatment area to minimise discomfort.
Erbium laser, surgical curettage and/or a diathermy machine is used to remove moles that are raised.
For moles that are not raised or flat, our cosmetic physician will determine which approach is best used for the removal.
Low downtime. Each mole or skin tag takes about 5 to 10 minutes to be removed.
There will be a small wound post treatment that can be covered with a simple dressing. If there is a small open wound, covering with an ointment aids in the healing process. Depending on the area of the body treated, the wound will take about a week to a month to recover fully.
Our cosmetic physician will assess suitability to undergo this treatment. Please book in for an initial consult and our cosmetic physician will address your concerns.
- Post-treatment care instructions will be provided depending on individual cases.
