During your Forma consultation:
Our cosmetic physician will have a face-to-face consultation and facial assessment with you prior to treatment. Please ensure that all makeup is removed well before your consultation for an accurate examination of your facial skin. You may leave your sunscreen on (preferably untinted), which can be removed during consultation.
Please advise our cosmetic physician if you:
- have allergic/anaphylaxis reactions to anaesthetic agents.
- are regularly taking anti-coagulant medication or fish oil supplements.
- are on blood-thinning medication such as aspirin.
- have a skin condition.
- have a pacemaker or internal defibrillator.
- have a superficial implants (metal plates, screws, metal piercing, cochlear implants).
- are on photo-sensitising medications (such as isotretinoin).
- have recent implants, filler, threads or wrinkle relaxer.
- have a history of herpes or cold sores (anti-viral medication pre and post treatment is highly recommended to prevent outbreak of cold sores. It can be prescribed to you if needed).
- have followed the prescribed skin prep prior to Forma treatment.
Skin preparation / requirement before Forma treatment:
The key to achieving desirable results with Forma is to use a combination of sun protection regularly. Use SPF 50+ sunscreen regularly and sun protection clothing (e.g., hats, long sleeves shirts, umbrella). Always reapply sunscreen every 2 hours.
Avoid consuming alcohol and smoking/vaping 48 hours prior to treatment as these will impede recovery.
No blood-thinning medication, anti-coagulant medication/fish or krill oil supplement, anti-inflammatory medication, vitamin E, herbal supplements for at least 1 week prior to treatment, as these may contribute to possible bruising.
Avoid extended sun exposure such as beach, travel to sunny locations, sunbathing, outdoor sports, etc.
Stop use of active ingredients or exfoliants in skincare products (e.g. AHA/BHA, topical retinol or retinoic acid) for at least 1 week prior to treatment.
No recent, heat exposure (e.g. sauna, laser treatment), sunburn experience or fake tans for at least 4 weeks prior to treatment.
On the day of Forma treatment appointment:
Please come without makeup on face. Use sunscreen only and this will be removed at clinic before treatment.
Please leave jewellery (e.g., earrings, piercings, necklaces, bracelets, etc.) at home or remove them before treatment.
Wear a wide brim hat or use umbrella before and after treatment.
The area of skin being treated is firstly cleansed thoroughly.
During the treatment, a small handpiece is moved smoothly over the skin’s surface, delivering controlled RF energy to heat the deeper dermal layers. This precise thermal stimulation triggers collagen and elastin production, improving skin tightness, tone, and texture over time. Most clients describe the sensation as a warm, relaxing facial massage, with no discomfort or downtime.
A standard Forma session for full face lasts about 30 minutes, depending on the area treated. You may notice an immediate improvement in skin firmness, with progressive results developing over the following weeks as new collagen forms

Downtime:
Very minimal downtime. The treatment is completely non-invasive, needle-free. This means you can return to work, social activities, or your normal routine immediately after your session.
Some patients may experience mild redness or warmth in the treated area, similar to a gentle flush, which typically subsides within a few hours. Tightening results appear gradually as collagen production increases with each treatment session, spaced 1-2 weeks apart. Maintenance treatments are required to sustain results.
The results are maintained with a series of regular Forma treatment and it varies depending on skin laxity before treatment and how well the skin is protected from UV damage after treatment.
Forma RF delivers needle-free, gradual and long-lasting skin tightening results by stimulating new collagen and elastin production. 6 to 8 treatments, once every 1 or 2 weeks, are recommended for lifted appearance, followed by one maintenance treatment every 3 to 6
