WHAT IS A BIO-REMODELLING INJECTABLE TREATMENT?
Bio-remodelling injectable treatment is a new category of skin rejuvenation injectables made of hyaluronic acid (HA) which stimulates collagen and elastin production for dewy, hydrated, tighter and revitalised skin. This unique skin remodelling formulation is made with patented NAHYCO ® technology.
Not only it remodels ageing and sagging tissue, it also deeply hydrates the skin due to its water-binding capacity of HA, making it known as injectable moisturiser as well. ARE BIO-REMODELLING INJECTABLES SIMILAR TO DERMAL FILLERS?
Bio-remodelling injectables are not to be confused with traditional dermal fillers. Although both contain hyaluronic acid (HA), dermal fillers are thicker with gel-like consistency while bio-remodelling injections are runny like water.
The thicker consistency of dermal filler enables it to provide lifting and volumising effect as the product stays in specific injected site, which adds volume to skin. The water-like consistency of bio-remodelling injections enables it to spread, plump and refresh skin from within, which provides lifting and tightening effects, with no volume added to skin.
Bio-remodelling injectable treatment uses the unique Bio Aesthetic Points (BAP) technique, which consists of 10 injections points for a treatment area. This technique allows HA to flood evenly across the widest sections of the treated area and its benefits to be released gradually under the skin. For example, 5 BAP injections are mapped for each side of the face, a total of 10 injection points for entire face. This skin remodeller penetrates slowly and deeply to reach and hydrate multiple layers of the skin, which delays the ageing process in the tissues whilst stimulates collagen and elastin production.
WHY IS IT KNOWN AS AN INJECTABLE MOISTURISER?
Bio-remodelling injectable is also known as an injectable moisturiser. It is made with pure and stabilised hyaluronic acid (HA) of both high and low molecular weights in high concentration. HA is a natural substance in the body which provides elasticity and moisture to the skin. This layer of long-lasting HA is injected beneath the skin and it stays there to hydrate the skin for several months, resulting in supple, glowy, healthy and fresh skin.
WHO IS SUITABLE FOR BIO-REMODELLING INJECTABLE TREATMENT?
Anyone. Females and males with any skin types and ages, especially those with signs of aging, mild to medium skin laxity, sagging skin or dehydrated skin.
Bio-remodelling injections can be used to treat light acne scarring as well.
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF BIO-REMODELLING INJECTABLE TREATMENT?
Bio-remodelling injections provide deep hydration, improve skin quality, tighten skin, improve fine lines and wrinkles without adding volume. WHAT AREAS CAN BIO-REMODELLING INJECTIONS TREAT?
The common treatment areas are face and neck. Dr. Ren Poh also uses bio-remodelling injections to effectively treat skin laxity in areas like décolletage, knees, arms, abdomen and hands.
WHAT ARE THE EXPECTED RESULTS?
Immediately after treatment, there will be fluid-filled swelling on the injection sites, which look like wasp stings. These fluid-filled swelling will subside itself in the next 4 to 6 hours, but it can last up to 24 hours.
Results of luminous complexion are expected to be seen within the first week, especially for those with better skin quality before treatment. Peak collagen remodelling occurs at 3 to 6 months after your treatment. Depending on how well you take care of your skin, results of improved overall skin quality should last up to 6 months. Maintenance treatment will be required then.
WHEN SHOULD I HAVE TREATMENT BEFORE AN EVENT (e.g. wedding)?
It is best to start treatments 2 to 3 months before the event, as treatments come in pairs and are spaced 4 weeks apart.
HOW MANY TREATMENTS ARE REQUIRED?
For those who have mild signs of aging, skin laxity and UV damage, they will benefit from standard 2 treatment sessions, spaced one month apart. For those with moderate skin laxity or significant UV damage, they may require three or more treatments for better results, where subsequent treatments are spaced apart longer. Depending on your needs, maintenance treatment is recommended every three to nine months, to maintain the skin strong and in good condition.
CAN BIO-REMODELLING TREATMENT BE COMBINED WITH OTHER TREATMENTS?
The answer is yes. It complements well with other cosmetic treatments such as anti-wrinkle, dermal fillers and threadlift.
It also complements well with energy-based treatments, such as HALO laser, Morpheus8 RF microneedling, FaceTite or AccuTite for maximum skin tightening and rejuvenation results.

WHAT ARE THE RISKS AND SIDE EFFECTS?
Although the bio-remodelling injectable treatment we use at our clinic is TGA-approved and has a good safety profile, no treatment is without its risks. Redness, swelling, bruising, itching, lumpiness and/or tenderness around the injection sites may be experienced by some patients. These side effects are common responses for injectable treatments and are temporary with good post-care. Dr. Ren will assess your suitability for treatment and discuss more with you during the consultation.

Please advise our doctor if you are regularly taking anti-coagulation therapy, have any auto-immune or skin condition.
If you are on blood-thinning medication such as aspirin, you will need to avoid these medication one week before treatment day.
Avoid sunbathing or exposure to heat two weeks before treatment day.
Avoid any alcohol 24 hours before treatment.
No make-up for 12 hours before treatment.
Treatment area is cleansed first. Using the Bio Aesthetic Points (BAP) technique, 5 injection points will be mapped for each side of the face. A total of 10 injection points are injected by our cosmetic physician for face treatment. Pain is minimal and tolerable.
Minimal downtime and discomfort. Treatment takes approximately 20 to 30 minutes.
Results of improved skin quality can be felt within the first week after the first treatment. Best results are more visible, 3 to 4 weeks after the second treatment due to the collagen and elastin production.
For those with mild laxity and minimal signs of aging in their skin, a standard treatment with bio-remodelling injections consists of 2 sessions that are spaced four weeks apart. This is then followed by maintenance treatment every 6 months as preventative treatment to maintain and stimulate cell regeneration.
More treatments will be required for those with significant UV damage, wrinkles, increased skin laxity and sagging skin.

Treatment may not be suitable if you:
- Are hypersensitive to product ingredients like hyaluronic acid (HA) or lidocaine.
- Have active skin infection, cold sores, psoriasis, eczema, sunburn or any other skin condition.
- Have a history of hypertrophic scarring.
- Are pregnant or breastfeeding.
- Have bleeding disorders.
- Have immune compromised disorders.
- Have unrealistic expectations from the treatment.

- Maintain hydration.
- Avoid swimming to avoid risk of infection.
- Do not allow pets to lick or touch the treatment areas to avoid risk of infection.
